12Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

Proverbs 10:12 (King James)

Love, Love, Love.

God is Love.

God Loves us.

Love God 1st.

Love your neighbor.

Love one another.

Love the brethren.

Love your spouse.

Love your enemies.

Matthew 5:44 King James Version (KJV)

 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Luke 6:35-36 King James Version (KJV)

35But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

36Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

John 13:34 King James Version (KJV)

34A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

John 14:15 King James Version (KJV)

15If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 15:13-14 King James Version (KJV)

13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Romans 5:8 King James Version (KJV)

8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

God is Love.

1 John 4:7-9 King James Version (KJV)

7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Love your enemies. Forgive all offenses.

Unmerited love.

The Best way to show God you love Him is to obey His commandments

Luke 17:1-3 King James Version (KJV)

1Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

2It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

3Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

Matthew 18:21-22 King James Version (KJV)

21Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Ever been charged money for love? Ever try to buy love? Ever have someone deny you love? Ever feel like not loving, or love only if and when you feel like it? Well believe it or not Jesus commands us to love. Love is the hardest thing to do sometimes, especially when not merited. Love is verb, not just a feeling. Love should by free of charge, also called charity. To give a gift often unmerited. The Bible also teaches us that we are sinners who love evil instead of righteousness, who love lying instead of truth. Love the good and hate the evil, says the Word; Amos 5:14-15.

God Loves us. He bought us at a price. Our debt paid in full.

Forgive 70 x 7

God loves you and He is willing and ready to forgive you; Psalm 86:5. Repent and ask for mercy, and He is faithful to forgive us no matter how bad we’ve been. Forgive others. We live in a world where offenses are regular. Be willing to forgive others if they offend or hurt you, no matter how serious the offense. Do not hang on to anger or resentment or wrath; Gal 4:31. Doing so does not accomplish the will of God who desires every man to be saved; 1 Tim 2:4.

Romans 8:35-39 King James Version (KJV)

35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 13:8-10 King James Version (KJV)

8Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

9For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

10Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Husbands, love your wives. Wives respect your husband.

Ephesians 5:23-25 King James Version (KJV)

23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

 25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Colossians 3:18-20 King James Version (KJV)

18Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

19Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

20Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

Mark 11:25-26 King James Version (KJV)

25And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Psalm 103:11-13 King James Version (KJV)

11For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

13Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.

Romans 12:19-21 King James Version (KJV)

19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Love

Love

God is Love

Ephesians 5:33 King James Version (KJV)

33Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Do not love the World

1 John 2:15-17 (King James Version)

15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

James 4:4 King James Version

4Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

We are to be loving, yet not love the world. This one’s tricky, but the world we live in isn’t ours at the moment. We are just passing through Heb 11:13, 1 Pet 2:11-12. Jesus has chosen us out of the world John 15:19. The world is blind to God, the world is covered in spiritual darkness. There is no light in the world. It’s mentality and systems are opposite to God 1 Cor 2:14. That is why the world hates Jesus and all the saints who follow him. The Spirit of the Lord rests on his saints; 1 Pet 4:14. Although we must be loving to everyone including our enemies, we don’t give in to the crowd by following/consorting with the world 2 Pet 1:4. Our duty as Christians is to live and preach the gospel of Christ to everyone and to give a good testimony with our lives as lights in the world. Phil 2:15

Adultery in this case isn’t so much the sexual immorality, but spiritual adultery. Spiritual adultery is being unfaithful to God with another god or belief. This passage also infers a call to repentance, without using the word repentance.

1 John 4:12 King James Version

12No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

1 John 4:16 King James Version

16And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

1 John 4:19-20 King James Version (KJV)

19We love him, because he first loved us.

20If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

1 Peter 4:8 King James Version (KJV)

8And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Psalm 45:6-7 King James Version

6Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

7Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Psalm 5:5 KJV

5The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

Psalm 11:5 KJV

5The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

Isaiah 1:14 KJV

14Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

Hebrews 1:8-9 King James Version

8But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

9Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Love the brethren

John 13:35 KJV

35By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

1 Peter 1:22 KJV

22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

1 John 3:14 KJV

14We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Proverbs 21:13 KJV

13Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.

Psalm 41:1 KJV

1Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

1 John 2:4 King James Version (KJV)

4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

14Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken.

15Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

Amos 5:14-15 King James Version (KJV)

Galatians 5:5-6 King James Version (KJV)

5For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

6For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

Psalm 7:10-11 King James Version (KJV)

10My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.

11God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

Revelation 2:15 King James Version

15So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.

Psalm 18:1-3 King James Version (KJV)

1I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

2The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

3I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Psalm 18:20-21 King James Version (KJV)

20The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

21For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

Faith works by Love.

Matthew 20:28 King James Version (KJV)

28Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 King James Version (KJV)

19What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Bought at a price: Acts 20:28, 1 Cor 7:22-24, Gal 2:20, 1 Tim 2:6.

John 14:21 King James Version (KJV)

21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Psalm 25:6-8 King James Version (KJV)

6Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

7Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.

8Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

Love is the Greatest Gift

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 (King James)

1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:13 (King James)

13And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (King James)

4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

 5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

 6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

What is Love? Its Characteristics?

LOVE GOD 1ST

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. Mark 12:20

Matthew 10:37-38 King James Version (KJV)

37He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Matthew 6:33 King James Version (KJV)

33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 22:36-39 King James Version (KJV)

36Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38This is the first and great commandment.

39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Psalm 26:1-7 King James Version (KJV)

Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.

Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.

I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.

I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O Lord:

That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

2 Corinthians 6:15-18 King James Version (KJV)

15And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.

18And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Psalm 45:6-7, Heb 1:8-9 Speaking about our Lord Jesus.

1 John 5:2-3 King James Version (KJV)

2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

2 John 1:5-6 King James Version (KJV)

Proverbs 6:16-19 King James Version (KJV)

16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Psalm 51:7-12 King James Version (KJV)

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Dealing with Guilt and sorrow?

Seek God! God is the only one who can fix your heart.

2 Corinthians 7:8-10 King James Version (KJV)

For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season.

Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Feeling guilt?

Ask God for forgiveness.

Only God can forgive our sins. We can can and do fall into sin if not careful. Sin has consequences and one of them is guilt. Many are blaming Satan for guilt. But guilt comes from our God-given conscience, if we even have a conscience left in us? 1 Tim 4:2 . Satan temps us, and if we give in and sin then we feel guilt and shame. Some pastors are preaching a guilt free gospel saying Jesus died for you so you don’t have to feel guilty. This is misleading. If you have the Holy Spirit, He will convict you of sin to keep you from backsliding; Prov 3:12, Heb 12:6; John 16:7-12. I had written in the past on forgiving yourself. And this was bad information based on what I heard from a modern pastor. This self-forgiveness is worldly philosophy. Only God can forgive our sins; Mark 2:7. Another falsity is doing good after you sin to feel better, well good works does not wash away our sin. You must confess your sins to God and clear it up with Him. Read about how King David prayed to God after committing sin with Bathsheba Psalm 51. God is the only one who can make us clean again and restore our conscience. All Christians should have made a pledge in Baptism to walk in a new, clean and blameless life, with a good conscience towards God. This is called Sainthood. Strive to keep your conscience clean by not sinning. If we sin we need to repent and ask God for his mercy.

Hebrews 12:14-15 King James Version (KJV)

14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Psalm 30:2 King James Version (KJV)

O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

Psalm 30:10-12 King James Version (KJV)

10 Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be thou my helper.

11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

12 To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

Proverbs 20:9 King James Version (KJV)

Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?

Romans 12:19 King James Version (KJV)

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Proverbs 21:3 King James Version (KJV)

To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

Psalm 52:3 King James Version (KJV)

LOVE THY NEIGHBOR

And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:31 King James Version (KJV)

29 But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

Luke 10:29 King James Version (KJV)

I’m not trying to insult or offend anyone with this verse from Psalm 52:3. The Word of God tells us like it is. How else are we going to get better unless we learn the truth about ourselves. Pray to God, ask for mercy, turn from sin, and then ask for his help. God is opposed to the proud but gives grace to the humble and to those who have a broken and contrite heart.

James 4:5-10 King James Version

Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

2 Peter 2:20 King James Version (KJV)

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

2 Timothy 2:4 King James Version

The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

John 7:7 King James Version (KJV)

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

John 17:9 King James Version (KJV)

Micah 6:7-8 King James Version

7 Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

God hates sin.

Mark 11:26 King James Version (KJV)

26But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Caring for animals

10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

Proverbs 12:10 (KJV)

Not sure if it says “Love thy pets” in the Bible per say, but we should extend our love and care for our animals which inhabit the earth along with us. Yes. God gave us rule over them, but not to be cruel or abusive. We must always give thanks to God for them, especially if we have to put one down for food such as fish and livestock. God did not put animals here for sport although some might seem to think it’s fun to fish and hunt game for a trophy. Greedy corporations only see dollar signs as they process animals in deplorable conditions. They don’t let up the abuse until it’s almost too late or they get fined.

Love isn’t always hugs and kisses. Those are signs of affection. But love sometimes comes in the form of correction or rebuke. Please keep in mind our sinful state here on the earth. The word of God says we are fallen out of the way. We are all crooked. How’s God supposed to straighten us out if don’t allow his truth and his correction in our lives?

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

Hebrews 12:5-10 King James Version (KJV)

Titus 2:3-5 King James Version (KJV)

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Love is love! Right??? Love is no good when you love evil

instead of righteousness.

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Isaiah 5:20 King James Version (KJV)

Ecumenical Idolatry and Delusion by Joe Schimmel was posted around 2 years ago. Happening now, May 2014! The link below from CNN shows the Pope visiting the holy land calling for peace in the middle east. But the word of God says this will not be the case. 1 Thess 5:3

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:12 King James Version
